Biography
Carel Petrus van der Merwe (1872-1961)[1] was the son of Izak Wilhelmus van der Merwe and Anna Christina Francina Jooste. In 1896, he married Eliza Wilhelmina Lubbe. They farmed on "Boplaas", part of the ealier Moddervlei farm, and had 8 children.
